In a previous article, I wrote about the importance of being able to restore your data . If you back your data up, but don't test it to determine if it's truly available, then you have nothing more than wishful thinking separating you from a potential loss of valuable business data. However, the premise of that article begged the question: "Is your data even backed up?"

 Backing up your company's important data isn't important. Restoring it is.

If you glance around the gym when you are working out, you will probably see that most people have headphones in their ears, listening to their own music rather that the music pumped through the gym's speakers. A good many of those people probably have iPods, which is the most popular of the portable MP3 players on the market. They are great little devices, and you will be able to do much more than just listen to your music. You can watch TV and movies, connect to the web through Wi-Fi, and more. However, not everything about the iPod is wonderful. They do have some rather glaring errors that users find annoying. |
