We all know that performing the same physical task can be dangerous to your health. An entire governmental agency has been set up to prevent workplace injuries due to repetitive motions. But did you know that repetitious behavior can cause a strain on your workforce PCs and technology workers? Not the physical kind, but a strain on productivity which wastes many, many hours.

How to securely store your valuable software licenses
Licenses! We can hardly live in this world without them. We all need one to drive. We need many different types to do business. Restaurant workers need one to handle food. Businesses and individuals also need them to legally operate software.

Hammering a Screw with a Hacksaw - The Different Tools for Backing Up Data
The topic of securing your data with backups and restores has been discussed in a few previous articles. One was on the topic of backing up your data in the first place while the other was on the importance of being able to restore your data. In this article I'd like to highlight that not all backup software tools are created equal. I'd like to specifically point out that using just one backup product may not be suitable to protect the many different types of data that you have in your office.

Is your important business data backed up?
In a previous article, I wrote about the importance of being able to restore your data . If you back your data up, but don't test it to determine if it's truly available, then you have nothing more than wishful thinking separating you from a potential loss of valuable business data. However, the premise of that article begged the question: "Is your data even backed up?"

Backing up your company's important data isn't important. Restoring it is.
Allow me to make a daring assertion: You shouldn't have backups of your company's valuable data.

Does that sound foolhardy? Bear with me for just a moment. I believe you'll share my sentiment after just a little explanation.

iPod Music Transfer Is Fast and Easy with the Right Software
09/17/10

If you glance around the gym when you are working out, you will probably see that most people have headphones in their ears, listening to their own music rather that the music pumped through the gym's speakers. A good many of those people probably have iPods, which is the most popular of the portable MP3 players on the market. They are great little devices, and you will be able to do much more than just listen to your music. You can watch TV and movies, connect to the web through Wi-Fi, and more. However, not everything about the iPod is wonderful. They do have some rather glaring errors that users find annoying.
